Environmental Information
Cortrium is committed to minimizing the environmental impact of our products throughout their lifecycle. We support responsible design, manufacturing, use, collection, reuse where appropriate, and environmentally sound recycling and disposal of our products and packaging.
This information applies to all medical devices and accessories supplied by Cortrium, including Holter monitoring devices such as the C3+ and C3W. Environmental requirements and end-of-life management obligations vary between countries. Cortrium is committed to complying with applicable environmental legislation and producer responsibility requirements in the markets where our products are placed on the market.
End-of-Life Management
Cortrium products should not be disposed of together with general household or municipal waste unless permitted by local regulations.
At the end of their service life, products should be collected separately and managed through appropriate collection, return, recycling, or recovery systems in accordance with local environmental requirements. Proper end-of-life management helps conserve natural resources, recover valuable materials, and minimize environmental impact.
Healthcare providers and other professional users should follow their organization’s established procedures and applicable local regulations for the disposal of medical devices and electronic equipment.
Batteries
Some Cortrium products contain integrated rechargeable batteries or are supplied with batteries required for operation.
Batteries should be handled and disposed of in accordance with applicable local regulations. They should never be incinerated, punctured, crushed, or disposed of in a manner that could create a safety or environmental hazard.
Where products contain integrated batteries, users should not attempt to remove or replace the battery unless expressly described in the applicable Instructions for Use or performed by personnel authorized by Cortrium.
If a battery is damaged, leaking, swollen, or otherwise appears unsafe, discontinue use of the product and contact Cortrium before transport or disposal.
Electronic Equipment
Cortrium products contain electronic components that can often be recovered and recycled through authorized collection and recycling programs.
Where applicable, products marked with the crossed-out wheeled-bin symbol should be collected separately from general waste and processed through approved collection or recycling systems.
Packaging
Cortrium aims to minimize packaging waste while ensuring the safe transportation and protection of our products.
Packaging materials should be sorted and recycled whenever suitable recycling facilities are available and in accordance with local waste management requirements.
Environmental Compliance
Cortrium supports environmental stewardship through compliance with applicable environmental, recycling, and producer responsibility requirements in the markets where our products are supplied.
Where required, Cortrium maintains registrations and participates in approved compliance schemes for electrical and electronic equipment, batteries, and packaging.
Product Returns
End-of-life products, defective devices, or products requiring environmentally responsible disposal should not be shipped to Cortrium without prior authorization.
If you require assistance with recycling, disposal, or the return of a Cortrium product, please contact Cortrium Customer Support. We will provide guidance based on the applicable regulations and available return arrangements in your country or region.
